Bulk billing
All patients 70 years and over are bulk billed. Patients under 70 with a Medicare item number, as well as a Pension concession, are also bulk billed.
For Pensioners under 70 years where we are unable to bulk bill, a reduced fee of $55 is charged.

Medicare
The Medicare rebate for referred bone density scans is currently $89.80. At present, Medicare does not reimburse for body composition scans only. Some private health funds may reimburse - please check with your fund.
Your eligibility for a Medicare rebate will be determined at your appointment according to Medicare criteria.

- Bone Densitometry of the lumbar spine and both hips and +/- forearm (radius) - $120
- Body Composition and whole body Bone Densitometry - $75
- Lateral Vertebral Assessment (LVA) when done in combination with a lumbar spine and hip scan - $15
- Bone Densitometry of the lumbar spine, both hips and whole body - $150
