Assoc Prof Nicholas Pocock and Assoc Prof Judith Freund each have over 40 years experience in densitometry and opened the first DXA centre in NSW in 1983.
Assoc Prof Nicholas Pocock has extensive research and clinical experience in the field of osteoporosis and is currently Director of Chatswood Densitometry, as well as a senior staff specialist in the Dept of Nuclear Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst.
He is a member of Advisory Committees to the International society for Clinical Densitometry, the International Osteoporosis Foundation, Osteoporosis Australia and the Australian and New Zealand Bone Mineral Society.
Assoc Prof Judith Freund has a long history of research and clinical experience in the field of Densitometry. She is actively involved in osteoporosis research and was instrumental in introducing central abdominal fat measurements as an index of visceral fat.
Assoc Prof Freund is currently Director of St Vincent's Clinic Bone Densitometry, Darlinghurst and partner at Chatswood Densitometry.
